Mr. Kabob, regarded as a hidden gem in Metro Detroit, was founded in 2003 inside the Sunoco gas station at the intersection of Coolidge Highway and 12 Mile Road in Berkley. The restaurant’s unique setting lends itself to a few raised eyebrows from folks who’ve never given the food a try. If you speak with locals in-the-know, you’ll often hear that Mr. Kabob has the best Mediterranean cuisine in Metro Detroit. Their Yelp reviews back up this sentiment, as well.

The success of Mr. Kabob lead to three subsequent locations opening under the CK Mediterranean Grille name in Southfield, Detroit, and San Diego, CA.
