Beer & Pretzel Mac n’ Cheese. Duck Confit Mac n’ Cheese. Buffalo Chicken Mac n’ Cheese.
All of these tempting recipes and many more were available at last night’s glorious Mac N’ Brews 2015 event at the Royal Oak Farmers Market.
Over 20 local restaurants like Republica, Ale Mary’s Craft Beer Hall, Town Tavern, 1917 American Bistro, Sweet Lorraine’s Cafe & Bar, Lazybones Smokehouse, and Monk Beer Abbey served their cheesy concoctions to hungry patrons. To wash down their delicious creations, more than 20 breweries were on hand to serve their libations.
Additional restaurants and vendors joined the festivities to serve up comfort foods and sweets to event goers.
To make things a little more interesting, awards were given out for Best Mac n’ Cheese, Best Comfort Food (Non-Mac n’ Cheese), Most Unique Dish, Most Flavorful Dish, Best Lipari Cheese, and Best Sweet. Congratulations to Sweet Lorraine’s for taking home the Best Mac n’ Cheese Award.
While we can’t tell you our favorite, our short list included entries from Onyx, Republica, Ale Mary’s Craft Beer Hall, and Blue Tractor BBQ & Brewery.
