When temperatures hit the fifty-degree mark or below, us Michiganders start to crave warm comfort food. Our desire for something hot and wholesome hit hard earlier this month, prompting us to check out Kung Fu Noodle House in Madison Heights. Leaving the cozy confines of our bed was worth it.
The hearty Braised Spare Rib Noodle Soup was a great choice, perfect for warming up on a cold day. The broth had a deep, well-developed flavor that had us slurping with approval. We added a fried egg for the hell of it.
The Seafood Noodle Soup was home to a cornucopia of seafood like scallops, mussels, and head-on shrimp (don’t be afraid to get in there and suck the good stuff out of the head!). We recommend this noodle soup if you’re looking for something other than a beef-based dish.
Pro tip: The BBQ Sticks are a popular appetizer to enjoy while you wait for your noodles to arrive. They’re petite in size and extremely cheap, so try a few like beef, shrimp, squid, or lamb.
Kung Fu Noodle House is located at 31151 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
