In the waning weeks of 2021, Pearl’s Deep Dive made a splash in downtown Royal Oak with its stunning interior, seafood-centric menu, and refined cocktails. Although the space at the intersection of Main Street and 11 Mile Road has been a few different concepts over the last decade, we’re shucking hopeful that Pearl’s will stick around for quite a while.
Easily our best bites of the year were the Lobster Dumplings swimming in a buttery, savory sauce. They didn’t skimp on the lobster meat; the dumplings were nice and plump. Pro tip: Ask for complimentary truffle popcorn and use it to lap up the remaining sauce on your plate.
Oyster-shaped plates display Pearl’s namesake bounties from both East and West coasts. Specialties like Cajun Grilled Oysters and Oysters Rockefeller will have you clamoring for more.
One of the main reasons Pearl’s Deep Dive has already been included in our regular rotation is because of their impressive cocktail menu. Bubbly, fun, and fantastic are a few words to describe the Dancing Raspberries cocktail. The drop of dry ice takes it from ordinary to extraordinary.
Pearl’s Deep Dive is located at 100 S Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067.
