If you’re a sandwich lover like us, you take your sandwiches very seriously. It doesn’t get more serious than the Pulled Bacon Dutch Crunch from Bull’s Head Tavern in Grand Rapids.
The Pulled Bacon Dutch Crunch took first place at the 2015 Grandwich competition, an annual battle for best sandwich in the Grand Rapids area. Sandwiches from San Chez Bistro and Stella’s Lounge rounded out the top three.

The star of the show is the marinated pulled pork belly bacon. The masterminds at Bull’s Head then add avocado, lettuce, jalapenos, red cabbage coleslaw, tomatoes and homemade Dijon sriracha aioli. Their homemade focaccia bun seals the deal on this beast of a sandwich.
