Never underestimate the power of social media. As whole-hearted supporters of Michigan businesses large and small, we follow and support (unpaid) local restaurants on Instagram as much as possible.

D’Amato’s of Royal Oak recently posted one of the dishes we drooled over: a festive Thanksgiving Benedict. We gobbled with glee when we saw that it was available during Sunday brunch. The combination of turkey, stuffing, poached eggs, and cranberry hollandaise was so good that we didn’t know what to do with ourselves.

Not to be overshadowed, the Prime Rib Benedict was a meat lover’s dream. Destined to be our Pic of the Week, the tender meat harmonized with the onions, peppers, and zip cheese. The crispy onion straws on top added a steakhouse touch to this decidedly brunch dish.
