Eggs, hash browns, and toast. A stack of pancakes with syrup. There’s nothing wrong with loving traditional breakfast dishes, but sometimes you yearn for something more creative. These Grand Rapids restaurants take breakfast to the next level and should be on every foodie’s must-try list.
Red Geranium Café
There are so many great breakfast options at the Red Geranium Café. The menu favors the savory side, enticing patrons with bountiful Benedicts, out-of-this-world omelets, and scrumptious skillets. The Pig Pile Skillet is a fan favorite with its off-the-wall combination of sausage, ham, bacon, cheddar, tater tots, and sausage gravy. For a dish that won’t get you in trouble with your doctor, give the Green Acres Skillet a try.
Matchbox Diner & Drinks
If you love a good Eggs Benedict, Matchbox Diner in Eastown is bound to light up your taste buds. Build your own Benny by choosing from meats, sauces, and fresh vegetables. Add one of their signature Bloody Mary’s and you’re good to go.
Anna’s House
We have never met Anna, but we love her vision for creating memorable breakfast experiences. Anna’s House elevates breakfast and brunch with their unique spin on classic dishes. From sweet to savory, they have one of our favorite breakfasts in Michigan. Try their Twilight French Toast and their cheesy Tater Tot Casserole, just a couple of our favorites.
Real Food Café
Something good is always cooking at Real Food Café, a breakfast staple in the Grand Rapids area. Satisfy your taste for something savory with dishes like the mouthwatering Philly Steak Skillet or corned beef-tastic Irish Benedict. Sweeten things up with craveable Cinnamon Roll Pancakes or bonkers Bananas Foster French Toast.
Manna Café
For divine omelets, griddle creations, hashes, and more, Manna Café delivers. Not only do they serve creative dishes for breakfast, they bake their own bread, muffins, and gooey cinnamon rolls. If pancakes tickle your fancy, eat all you can for $9.99 until 10 AM every Monday through Thursday.
