Spring is here — at least on paper — bringing a new season of food trucks, cocktails, and good times to Detroit Fleat, metro Detroit’s first food truck park. We scoped things out so you know exactly what the truck to eat when you visit.
Flashback to 2018 when we couldn’t shut up about the delectable Italian Beef and Caprese sandwiches from Matt & Mo’s. To our delight, they’ll be at Detroit Fleat all summer long.
The Pita Post returns for the 2019 season with their flagship Chicken Shnitzel. This perfect pita is packed with a crispy chicken breast, diced cucumbers and tomatoes, red cabbage, house-made ranch, and celery sauce. It’s so good, it’ll have you tagging your pics with #shnitzeladdict.
It is only fitting that Detroit’s first officially licensed food truck, El Guapo, will have a residency at the Fleat. Step up to the window as the staff slings tacos and burritos with signature Guapo Sauce, a smoky sour cream concoction with a touch of heat.
While Detroit Fleat is known for their posse of food trucks, they have an awesome lineup of hand-crafted cocktails, craft beer, and house eats available for consumption. Tacos, burgers, and loaded fries are a few highlights on the menu.
Have a sweet tooth? The Fleat features baked goods from Ferndale darlings, Detroit Cookie Company. We recommend pairing it with a scoop of ice cream from Treat Dreams.
Detroit Fleat is located at 1820 E 9 Mile Rd, Ferndale, MI 48220.
